E-IDV is an identity verification service that uses the latest biometric matching technology.

Using a standard smart phone and government issued photo ID documents (including eChip enabled passports), E-IDV can perform a 3-way cross match of: passport photo, eChip photo (where present) and verified ‘live’ user images.

E-IDV can also capture security information from ID documents and upload other documents such as proofs of address.

Conveyancers can use E-IDV to meet the ‘Digital ID Standard’ announced recently by HM Land Registry and achieve the desired ‘Safe Harbour’.

Regulated professionals can use E-IDV as a critical identity verification step of their customer due diligence / AML process.

E-IDV is available via our secure website, and secure API. The process can be initiated in a matter of seconds, after which, subjects are invited to download the E-IDV app which guides them through the data capture process.

A detailed biometric report is returned seconds after the capture process completes.

Key Features:

Uses biometric processes utilised by border control agencies worldwide.

Can verify over 3,500 different photo ID documents issued by over 190 governments globally.

Uses NFC technology to read encrypted data on embedded eChips – found within the majority of international passports.

The system is easy to use:
Firms enters basic information, such as subject’s name and mobile number;
E-IDV sends an SMS (and email – optionally) to the subject;
The subject uses an embedded link to download and follow the E-IDV app;
E-IDV securely gathers and verifies the biometric data, plus other document uploads as required;
Data, cross matched results, and where relevant, MRZ, PEPs and Sanctions list check results, are passed back in a report (via API or PDF as preferred).

Compatible UK Government standards on identity proofing and verification of individuals.

Meets the ‘Digital ID Standard’ specified by HM Land Registry to achieve the desired ‘Safe Harbour’.
